Sahifa Sajjadiya also known as Sahifa Kamila is the oldest prayer manual in Islamic sources and one of the most seminal works of Islamic spirituality of the early period. It was composed by the Prophets great grandson, `Ali ibn al-Husayn, known as Zayn al-Abidin (`the adornment of the worshipers ), and has been cherished in Shiite sources from earliest times. Zayn al-Abidin was the fourth of the Shiite Imams, after his father Husayn, his uncle Hasan, and his grandfather Ali, the Prophets son-in-law. Shiite tradition considers the Sahifa a book worthy of the utmost veneration, ranking it behind only the Quran and `Alis Nahj al-balagha.
One of the greatest treasures we have today is this book and it contains supplications which any person may benefit from. If you are ill, in debt, need a moral boost or in a state of repentance there is a supplication for each. Each supplication or whispered prayer will benefit the reciter and and bring spiritual relief to them. For we have been told in the Holy Quran in Sura 2, Verse 186 - "And when My servants question thee concerning Me - I am near to respond to the supplication of the supplicator when he supplicates Me."
The supplications have been taken and broken up into each phrase - line by line so it is easy to read and understand the meaning. We have also added a transliteration section along with the ability to download and hear the supplication.
